Wisconsin buying Talgo trainsets for Amtrak Hiawatha service

YES. I've been saying for years that Amtrak should have bought Talgos for the Northeast corridor instead of the Bombardier Acela trainsets. The Talgos in the Vancouver-Portland Cascades service have an unbelievable 97% availability rating (in other words they almost never break down). The entire passive tilt technology seems far more reliable to me than the active tilting used in the Acelas. Plus, the trainsets aren't semi permanently tied to the locomotives, so maintenance on the locos doesn't take the cars out of service as well. I can't wait to see these in service and am excited that more of these Spanish trainsets will be running here.
